LET YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH

LET YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

By- Ayo Awe-Joseph

Theologically speaking, and in all the revealed scriptures, there is just one thing happening in heaven.

WORSHIP

The four living creatures surrounding the throne of God: "Day and night they never stop saying: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.'" (Revelation 4:8)

Scripture paints a remarkably consistent picture. Heaven is a place of ceaseless worship.

The four living creatures surrounding the throne of God: "Day and night they never stop saying: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.'" (Revelation 4:8) The elders continually cast their crowns before the throne.

Angels gather in innumerable company. Every tribe, tongue, and nation joins in songs of adoration. The atmosphere of heaven is saturated with worship. The occupation of heaven is worship. The language of heaven is worship. Day and night. Continually. Without interruption.

If Jesus taught us to pray that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven, then the worship that surrounds God's throne in heaven must find expression among God's people on earth.

This is where The Audience of One finds its theological foundation.

We are not gathering merely to sing songs or play musical instruments. We are responding to the expressed desire of God, pouring our worship sacrifices upon the altar of our hearts, that heaven's reality becomes earth's experience.

We are joining our voices and instruments in symphony with the eternal song already being sung as we behold with open face the throne room of God.

The writer of Hebrews gives us the doctrinal framework for this response:

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess His name." (Hebrews 13:15)

CONTINUAL WORSHIP

The iconic word in this Hebrew passage is continually, not occasionally, not when convenient, not only during church services.

Continual worship is heaven's pattern; the New Covenant call is not merely to worship; it is to become a worshipping people. Through Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, we are invited into a lifestyle of unceasing praise that echoes the worship of heaven.

THE AUDIENCE OF ONE

The Audience of One is therefore more than an event. It is a prophetic statement, A direct response to heaven's requirement from the people who live on earth. A re-birth of The Davidic Tabernacle, fulfilling prophecy in Acts 15: 16-18

The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written: 16 “‘After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it, 17 that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things’[b]—18     things known from long ago.[c]

The Audience of One project is therefore a response of faith to the heaven's proclamation. “Let your Kingdom come on earth”.

Our faith is that our worship will ignite the fire of people from all nations and encourage them to enter boldly into the presence and Kingdom of the Father and of our LORD and King- “Jesus -The Christ”

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb,  be praise and honour and glory and power, forever and ever!” 14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshipped.

May His will be done on earth, as it is in heaven
