Day and Night Worship In Heaven
"Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." — Matthew 6:10
There are prayers that we recite, and there are prayers that require enforcement and human participation.
Among all the prayers Jesus taught His disciples, none carries greater prophetic weight than this simple petition: Thine will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is a prayer that requires human participation and enforcement.
“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” For many of us, this prayer has become familiar, but as true sons and daughters of God, this prayer must no longer be futuristic; it must become revolutionary in our hearts with full determination to say, YES LORD, let it begin with me. Jesus was not asking us merely to admire heaven from a distance; He was inviting us to be enforcers and become participants in bringing heaven's order to the earth.
The obvious question is this:
What is happening in heaven that God desires to be reflected on earth? The Apostle John was granted the privilege of seeing beyond the veil. "The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: 'Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!'" Revelation 4:8
UNCEASING WORSHIP
If we notice carefully, what arrested John's attention was that the worship around God's throne never stops. There is no intermission, there is no closing service, there is no moment when heaven grows silent. Day and night, the throne of God is surrounded by adoration.
Heaven has never ceased to worship.
If Jesus taught us to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, then surely we must carefully examine all the expressions in the Revelation of John.
One expression of that prayer is the restoration of Continuous Worship. This is not a new idea, or doctrine; it is a prayer long due to be enforced on earth.
THE DAVIDIC TABERNACLE PROJECT-
When David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, he did something unprecedented. He had the vision of heaven's worship similar to what John saw;
David then proceeded to establish singers, musicians and worshippers to minister before the Lord continually. Worship was no longer confined to religious ceremony; it became the atmosphere of God's dwelling among His people.
Centuries later, after David had died and been buried with his fathers, the prophet Amos declared God's promise:
"In that day I will restore David's fallen shelter."
Amos 9:11 The restoration of David's Tabernacle is not merely about rebuilding an ancient structure. It is about restoring a divine pattern—a people whose primary occupation is ministering to the Lord. It was this conviction that gave birth to The Davidic Tabernacle Project. Our mission is simple yet profound:
Restoring David's template of sacred music in rotation.
We believe God is raising musicians, worshippers, intercessors and leaders who understand that worship is first directed to God before it is ever presented to people.
We envision an altar where praise, worship, prayer and the Word ascend continually, reflecting the worship that already surrounds the throne of God.
By God's grace, we recently birthed the first expression of this vision through the Praise Marathon 24/7, held from 2nd to 3rd July 2026 here in Lagos, Nigeria.
For twenty-four uninterrupted hours, voices were lifted, instruments were played, prayers were offered, and songs ascended before the Lord. It was more than an event. It was a moment of the prophetic coming to fulfilment. It was the laying of a foundation of unceasing worship. It was an affirmation of YES LORD to your will on earth, as it is in heaven!
Like Elijah rebuilding the altar before the fire fell, we believe God is calling His Church to rebuild the altar of sacred music and continuous worship in this generation.
Yet the Praise Marathon was never intended to be the destination. It was an invitation. The invitation is to become a people who carry heaven's rhythm into everyday life—a Church whose worship is not confined to Sunday mornings but rises continually through lives wholly devoted to Christ.
The Church must once again become known as a worshipping people before she becomes known as a performing people. Our songs must once again become offerings before they become productions. Our gatherings must become encounters before they become programmes. The restoration of David's Tabernacle is, ultimately, the restoration of God's rightful place at the centre of His people.
This vision cannot be fulfilled by one congregation, one denomination or one ministry. It belongs to the Body of Christ. It belongs to every believer who longs to see Jesus receive the worship He deserves. As we look beyond the Praise Marathon, our prayer remains unchanged: Lord, let the worship of heaven find expression on earth.
May every home become an altar; may every church become a sanctuary of His presence.
May every musician become a minister before the Lord. May every believer live a life of unceasing worship. Until the prayer of Jesus echoes and manifests through the nations: we declare there will be no further delays:
"Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
The call of the Church is to unceasing Worship Day and night; this is the vision of the Davidic Tabernacle Project.
Hebrews 13:15: By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
Prayer
Father, I align my heart with Your purpose and intent. I refuse to make Your will on earth futuristic. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven; let it begin from me now. Let every tribe, every tongue, and every nation join the everlasting song around Your throne. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
